About Stony Creek Church

Stony Creek is a church committed to living the great truths of the Bible in our everyday lives.  At the heart of this is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  If you’re curious about our vision, mission, beliefs, etc., we invite you to check out the rest of our site, or better yet, visit us on a Sunday morning.

Stony Creek Church was founded in 1991 and belongs to the North American Baptist Conference (or NAB). We value this affiliation because it provides a venue for wider fellowship, service, and accountability with others in the Body of Christ.  (For more information about the NAB, check out www.nabconference.org ). And yet each NAB church is self-governed and considered autonomous.  The focus at Stony Creek is not on labels or denominational differences but on Jesus Christ and the advance of His kingdom.  You’ll find people at Stony from a large variety of backgrounds—religious and non-religious.  All are welcome and accepted.  In this sense there is a genuine interdenominational atmosphere at Stony Creek. Our common bond is not found in human institutions but in Jesus Christ.

Our Sunday morning worship services provide a casual and informal atmosphere where we praise God and learn about the Bible in an interesting and relevant way.  Our services begin at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM. There are Children’s classes running during both services. We also offer teen classes during our 9:15 service after our time of praise. For more info check out “[Location and Times]

Stony Creek offers something for every member of the family.

For adults we have Small Group Bible studies that meet regularly in homes every other week or so.  Adult Bible classes are held at our 9:15 AM service and periodically on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.

For students Stony Creek has the The EDGE Youth Ministries, led by our Assistant Pastor, Chris Bourdeau, and a terrific team of adult helpers.  They meet for creative and interactive Bible studies and games on Sunday mornings during our 9:15 AM service and Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. The youth ministry also hosts special events, such as summer camp, trips to Cedar Point, and lots of other cool stuff.

For children we have our Adventureland ministry, headed up by our Children’s Director, Chuck Binkowski, and his eager team of teachers and helpers.  Classes for children ages 0 through 5th grade are held every Sunday during the morning services.  Children are taught the Bible using creative and fun methods.
